Misuses of apostrophe: Don’t use an apostrophe for -s ending that are not meant to indicate possession, such as with plurals, or for any other reason than those listed above.

 

Incorrect: The horse’s ran around the field.

Correct: The horses ran around the field.

Correct: The horse’s saddle is brown.

 

Incorrect: There are too many baby’s in the nursery

Correct: There are too many babies in the nursery.

Correct: I found three babies in the baby’s room.
