Question marks: Add a question mark at the end of the sentence for questions:

 

Should John register for the class now or after he knows whether or not there will be a field trip.   (Incorrect)

Should John register for the class now or after he knows whether or not there will be a field trip?   (Correct)

 

Why would everyone think Hayden was serious about that.  (Incorrect)

Why would everyone think Hayden was serious about that?  (Correct)

 

Don’t use a question mark with indirect questions.

I am asking whether or not there is a field trip?  (Incorrect)

         I am asking whether or not there is a field trip.  (Correct)

Is there a field trip?  (Correct)
