Verbs: Perfect tense: Use the auxiliary verb “to have” + a past participle to form perfect verb tenses correctly.
Perfect tense shows action completed by a certain time in the past, present, or future:
Past Perfect:
I had studies six hours for the previous test.
Roberta had listened to field recordings of drumming for her musicology class.
Present Perfect:
You have borrowed my notes one time too many!
He has stolen my lab coats for the past year.
Future Perfect uses the helping verb “will” as well:
They will have visited Dallas ten times by the end of decade.
I will have known the faculty in the Department of Neuroscience, Developmental and Regenerative Biology for two years in May.
