Objectives:

  • In this section, we will go over the verbs we use to talk about the uni’s experience.

The following video will help you conjugate the regular verbs in the present tense:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RYzEW5t6sE

Notes:

All the verbs in Spanish end in -AR, -ER, -IR. This form is also known as the infinitive form of the verb.

  • CaminAR – to walk
  • ComER – to eat
  • EscribIR – to write

To conjugate the verbs, you need to find the root of the word by removing the -AR, -ER, or IR ending and adding the specific ending for the appropriate pronoun.

caminAR – root = camin

yo camino nosotros/nosotras caminamos
caminas ustedes caminan
él/ella camina ellos/ellas caminan

bebER – root = beb

yo bebo nosotros/nosotras bebemos
bebes ustedes beben
él/ella bebe ellos/ellas beben

escribIR – root = escrib

yo escribo nosotros/nosotras escribimos
escribes ustedes escriben
él/ella escribe ellos/ellas escriben
