Objetivos y breve descripción

  • Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the historical context of activism within San Antonio and South Texas connecting past struggles and movements to contemporary issues.
  • Students will develop critical thinking skills by analyzing primary sources, historical documents, and media related to activism in San Antonio and South Texas
  • Students will build upon their cultural competency by exploring the nuances of language use in the context of activism and understanding how language is a tool for social change 
  • Students will recognize and identify the forms of the present perfect tense for regular and irregular verbs, including the conjugation of auxiliary verb haber and the past participle  
  • Students will be able to apply the present perfect tense in context, distinguishing between actions completed in the past and those with relevance to the present 
  • Students will be able to engage in conversations using the present perfect tense, expressing personal experiences, and connecting past actions to current situations.
