It is important to know and recognize the art that our city has to offer. The collection it’s still a work in progress and contains art that talks about the political history of San Antonio.

  • In the main page you will find the series of collections that the students from The University of Texas at San Antonio have accumulated during their research.
  • Choose your favorite art.
  • Write a short essay about 200-250 words that best describes and analyze your chosen art from the perspective of your major.

For example: If your major is Law and you want to become a Lawyer, you must analyze such piece of art from the perspective of a Lawyer. In other words, analyze the legal part of this mural, if they are respecting the human rights in bthe content of the mural, if it’s ok with the law in place in the city or the year it was elaborated, etc.

The purpose of this activity is to develop critical thinking in the area of art and analyze and appreciate art from different perspectives depending the area you are studying.
