9:30 am Arrive Bologna Bus Station, (Stazione Autolinee, Piazza XX Settembre 6); Walk to Piazza Santo Stefano (22 min. walk)
10:00 am Arrive Piazza Santo Stefano, a complex of seven churches which replicate churches in the Holy Land, especially the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (5th c.?), the Courtyard of Pilate (13th c.), and the Church of Santo Stefano and its Crypt (8th c., renovated in 17th c.)
11:00 am Meet Prof. Chiara Gianollo, Professor of Linguistics at the University of Bologna, the oldest university in continuous operation in the world, founded in 1088. Walk to the University’s downtown campus. (10 minute walk)
11:30 Visit the University’s historic Library 
1:00 pm Lunch at Sartoria Gastronomica
2:30 Archiginnasio—the oldest official building in the University—including the Anatomical Theater.
3:15 Walk to San Domenico by way of the Due Torri (Garisenda e degli Asinelli) (19 minute walk)
3:30 Tour of San Domenico, with a Dominican friar as a guide. Visit the church, tomb of St. Dominic, and the cloister
4:15 Depart for Bus Station (22 minute walk)
5:00 Bus departs for Urbino
7:00 Arrival at Urbino
