4 ジョンソン: よかったですね。ところで、よくすしたろうですしを食べますか。

5 山田: ええ。そして、すしはなでもよく食べます。すしたろうもすしはなもおいしいですよ。
Romanization
 1 Yamada: Bangohan no ato, depa-to ni ikimashita.

2 Jonson: Sou desu ka.

3 Yamada: Ee, soshite, kafe nimo ikimashita.

4 Jonson: Yokatta desu ne. Tokorode, yoku sushitarou de sushi o tabemasu ka. 

5  Yamada: Ee. Soshite, sushihana demo yoku tabemasu. Sushitarou mo sushihana mo oishii desu yo.
English translation
 1 Yamada: After dinner, I went to a department store.

2 Johnson: I see.

3 Yamada: Yes, and then I also went to a cafe.

4 Johnson: That’s good. By the way, do you eat sushi at Sushitaro often?

5 Yamada: Yes. And I also often eat at Sushihana. Both Sushitaro and Sushihana are delicious.

Grammar Notes

Particle  にも (ni mo)

The particle にも (ni mo) is composed of two particles, に (ni) and も (mo). It indicates “also to” another place one will go.

For example,

Japanese  大学に行きます。カフェにも行きます。
Romanization Daigaku ni ikimasu. Kafe nimo ikimasu.
English I will go to the university. I will also go to the cafe.

 

Particle でも (dei mo)

The particle でも (dei mo) is composed of two particles, で (de) and も (mo). It indicates “also at” another place one will do something.

For example,

Japanese  図書館で勉強をします。カフェでもします。
Romanization Toshokan de benkyou o shimasu. Kafe demo shimasu.
English I will study at the library. I will also study at the cafe.
