Book Description
This book is designed mainly for History of Film, a course in the Film and Media Studies Program, University of Texas at San Antonio. The rationale for developing this book is two-fold: to offer a free textbook in the course and to expand the limits of the topics studied under the history of film, including information about emerging film aesthetics and the burgeoning film industries in the Global South. Overall, this book offers students an opportunity to compare and study the film traditions of the past.
